The plants on this page are sold as bare roots unless otherwise indicated. This means they are not in pots, but are "naked" roots or tubers which must be planted in your garden. Bare roots are easier to plant than potted specimens, and generally yield a healthier plant.

All dahlias are guaranteed to have at least one viable eye. Peonies will have at least two eyes, unless otherwise indicated.

Dahlia 'Addison June'
Almost neon but not quite, this is among the brightest dahlias you will find. Perfectly proportioned in relation to its brightness, this little pompon will dance above your larger blooms, giving a small but incandescent pop of colour. An invaluable size for floral work. $7
Dahlia 'Arabian Night'
Those with cutting gardens will be interested in this florist workhorse. Arabian Night is the perfect size for floral work, with blooms measuring around 3 inches. Deep burgundy tones work well with pink and blush palettes or traditional fall arrangements. Prolific and easy. $7
Dahlia 'Cafe au Lait'
SOLD OUT. The sought-after star of countless bridal bouquets, Cafe au Lait remains a showpiece in any country garden. More formally constructed than Shiloh Noelle, with sophisticated blush tones. $7
Dahlia 'Caro White'
SOLD OUT. A mini ball, excellent for floral work and very sweet planted amongst bigger blooms. Green eye keeps it from looking too staid. $12
Dahlia 'Cornel Bronze'
These blooms are perfect, prolific and sturdy. Stems like wire hold impossibly flawless ball-form flowers in a dusty bronze that goes with every palette (seriously - every palette). $8
Dahlia 'Daisy Duke'
SOLD OUT. Dukes of Hazzard in flower form - a bit crazy, a little loud, and awfully good-looking. Apricot shading keeps this bright beauty looking elegant. $12
Dahlia 'Ginger Snap'
FEW REMAINING. We received Ginger Snap as a mislabelled mystery a few years ago, and tried for months to figure out what it was. This sweet little bloom is country perfection - not quite yellow but not quite orange, with a casual petal formation that instantly relaxes any floral arrangement. $7
Dahlia 'Hillcrest Suffusion'
SOLD OUT. From one of the best breeders in America, with shades of coral, apricot and pink, this variety hardly needs an introduction. Very limited quantities of this hard-to-find beauty. $12
Dahlia 'Islander'
FEW REMAINING. Eight to ten-inch blooms in fabulous shades of coral and pink, Islander provides pop in almost any colour palette. Big, fun and bright - everything you want in a summer bloom. $8
Dahlia 'Myrtle's Folly'
SOLD OUT. Famous for a reason, this big ball of crazy will make you smile whether you want to or not. Surprisingly versatile, it provides an excellent textural contrast amongst other dinnerplate dahlias. $8
Dahlia 'Nadia Ruth'
A fringed cactus in the most romantic shades of cream and pink. Deeply fringed petals provide an excellent visual break in a bed planted with more typical cultivars. Beautiful in any setting, and an especially excellent variety for gardeners who wish to keep things interesting while sticking to a pastel palette. $7
Dahlia 'Petra's Wedding'
A reliable standard for commercial growers, Petra's Wedding is productive and healthy, with strong stems and blooms that are the perfect size for arrangements. Versatile white with a tight petal form. $7
Dahlia 'Rainbow Silence'
A brand new cactus form in sought-after shades of coral, apricot and gold. Wider petals than the average cactus. We are very excited about this one. $7
Dahlia 'Rip City'
SOLD OUT. Dark, brooding and versatile, this dinnerplate is a sophisticated anchor to pastel palettes in the summer, and is right at home with autumn's oranges, browns and yellows. A popular variety among flower farmers, and very hard to source in Canada. $12
Dahlia 'Sir Alfred Ramsey'
FEW REMAINING. If you plant Sir Alf in your front beds, people will take pictures of themselves in your yard fairly regularly. Demure clients may wish to install this attention-grabbing charmer in the back garden. A gorgeous blend of cream and pink, this is a must-have for any collector. $8
Dahlia 'Star's Favorite'
This true cactus is a jaw-dropper. Looking almost like a show-quality heirloom chrysthanthemum, the architectural petals are a sight to behold. Deep pink, with a creamy ivory centre. $7
Dahlia 'Sweet Nathalie'
SOLD OUT. Among the most beloved dahlia of flower farmers across the continent, Sweet Nathalie has all the gorgeous shades of Wizard of Oz, but in a larger package. Healthy, prolific, and almost impossible to find in Canada. $12
Dahlia 'Sweet Suzanne'
FEW REMAINING. A relative of Sweet Nathalie, this variety offers those sought-after peach tones with charming toothed petals that lend a whimsical air to this otherwise structured bloom. $12
Dahlia 'Sylvia'
One of the most well-loved dahlias amongst serious growers, Sylvia is compact enough for the front of a bed, but produces the same fabulous flowers you would expect from a plant twice her size. A very attractive plant. $7
Dahlia 'Tsuki-Yori'
SOLD OUT. An ivory fringed dahlia with a lime coloured eye. We were prepared to drive several hours to obtain a tuber of Tsuki-Yori from a friend up-island, and were delighted to source it for you. Unique and prolific. $7
Dahlia 'Wine Eyed Jill'
A stunner in the garden or in arrangements, Wine Eyed Jill has a tight petal formation with gorgeous coloration. Tangerine tones below dark burgundy staining at the centre of the bloom. A prolific plant. $7
Dahlia 'Wizard of Oz'
SOLD OUT. Sweet and small and perfect, we would never be without Wizard of Oz in the cutting garden or the ornamental beds. A versatile flower and productive plant. You are guaranteed to cherish this one. $7
Geranium 'Birch's Double'
SOLD OUT. If you missed out last year, this is your chance! These sold out in the wink of an eye, and it's easy to see why. Elegant double flowers look more like roses than geraniums. An absolute darling of a plant. $7
Geranium 'Dark Reiter'
A handsome purple-leafed geranium with an attractive mounding habit. Large purple flowers and a long bloom time typical of the species. $8
Geranium sanguineum album
The classic, beloved border geranium, in clear bright white. $7
Hosta 'Krossa Regal'
This hosta is aptly named - it is nothing if not regal. Tall and classy, with an architectural form. An excellent choice for those tricky rear sections of shady beds. $7
Hosta 'Snake Eyes'
The most exciting hosta we've seen in years. The pictures don't to it justice. We recently saw a mass planting of Snake Eyes in a formal garden, and it was truly a sight to behold. If you have a hosta garden, it is not complete without Snake Eyes. $10
Hosta albomarginata
Classic, tasteful and elegant. Absolutely fabulous planted en masse as a low border hedge. Easy and dependable. $6
Peonia itoh 'Canary Brilliants'
SOLD OUT. We hesitated to bring this variety in simply because of its misleading name but, as usual, the blooms won us over. The flowers of this plant are neither canary yellow nor brilliant in tone. They start off a charming peach, progressing to a pale golden apricot. A large and beautiful plant even without the flowers. Very floriferous. $40
Peonia itoh 'Cora Louise'
FEW REMAINING. Blooms the size of a child's head, with the gorgeous tones you might see in an elegant white hibiscus. We have very limited quantities of this gorgeous cultivar. $40
Peonia itoh 'Scrumdiddlyumptious'
FEW REMAINING. This is without a doubt the most exciting peony we have ever offered. We have been searching for this plant for several years, but it is very exclusively bred and has not previously been available in Canada. Scrumdiddlyumptious had fully double petals in a peachy apricot with a pale pink edging, almost like a picotee. Fragrant, floriferous and just about heart-stopping. Anyone who loved the BFG will know that it is aptly named. A steal at $70. Guaranteed to absolutely floor any serious collector.
Peonia lactiflora 'Coral Charm'
SOLD OUT. Larger flowers than 'Coral Sunset', with the same heartbreaking coral tones. 2-3 eyes per root. $15
Peonia lactiflora 'Duchesse de Nemours'
SOLD OUT. The famous Grande Dame. This is mature potted stock, with 5 or more eyes. $30
Peonia lactiflora 'Gay Paree'
The classy older sister to the more commonly-seen 'Bowl of Beauty'. Hot pink outer petals with a fluffy ivory centre. Fragrant, elegant and hard to come by. Mature potted stock, 4 eyes or more. $30
Peonia lactiflora 'Kirinmaru'
SOLD OUT. Very rare. White double flowers streaked with raspberry. Highly fragrant and arresting in an arrangement. $40
Peonia lactiflora 'Lady Alexandra Duff'
This peony is beautiful, and has a playful habit: the lead bloom at the top of the stem is most often fully double, while the side blooms further down the stem are semi-doubles or singles. The result is sweet and cheerful. Mature potted stock, 5 eyes or more. $30
Peonia lactiflora 'Lillian Wild'
A gorgeous white peony with strong stems. The American Peony Society notes that "the size of the flower increases with the age of the plant, becoming one of the largest and most double of all peonies." A big statement from the authority! $15
Peonia lactiflora 'Monsieur Jules Elie'
SOLD OUT. One of the most famous peonies among cut-flower growers. Double "bombe" form in a clear pink. Mature potted stock, 5 eyes or more. $30
Peonia lactiflora 'Myrtle Gentry'
SOLD OUT. Late-blooming in Chanel pink, this double peony won many awards when it was introduced in 1923. Shuffled off in favour of fancy new introductions, Myrtle Gentry is enjoying a renaissance as buyers realize that it is hard to improve upon perfection. $15
Peonia lactiflora 'Solange'
SOLD OUT. The Cafe au Lait of the peony world, there is no other bloom in this species that hits these colour notes. Buff, blush and pink tones radiate through this amazing peony. A true collector's cultivar. Mature potted stock, 5 eyes or more. $30
